I have seen a lot of posts about magnetic rugs , but TBH I confess I don't know much about them, I would be interested to know the following?

Why use them?

For which problem did you initially buy the rug for?

Did it work if so what results did you see?

Do you use it periodically or all the time?

I have a horse with a stiff back and therefore wondering if they could help, I know they aren't cheap. I would be really interested to hear from your expereiences.

Thanks

I hired one from my physio for a couple of weeks when my mare had a sore back. However it was an electro-magnetic one; it had batteries which sent an electric current through the magnets in the rug, causing them to pulse. Apparently they can be very effective, and Missie's back was certainly much improved after a couple of weeks using them. They are comparable to the Equissages to buy price-wise though. I presume you're talking about the Bioflow rugs (or similar) - when the physio mentioned magnet rug to me that's what I assumed she was talking about, but according to her they are useless and don't do anything! Can't comment though as haven't tried them.

Yes Donadea those are the rugs I am asking about, the ones just with magnets on/in. I guess they are around £200 and I don't want to go to that expense if they are not worth it.
