As part of my "get my act together and ride an actual horse again one day" plan I bought one of these. I got it for a bargain price on ebay so thought I wouldnt have much to lose. I got on it today for about 30 seconds and got off as it felt a bit like being bronced off at high speed! Manned up and got back on and managed about 20mins.

Has anyone else got one? Have you found its helped your core muscles/riding?

I was intrigued by these when they first came out, but put off by the price. I can't help thinking that they lost a lot of customers due to the name - it does rather sound like a sex toy!

I've got one. I only use it when no one is looking as my family say it looks like I'm taking part in an activity that isn't horse riding! They find it hugely amusing. Mine was an eBay bargain too and I bought it following abdominal surgery to try and build back the muscles prior to getting back on a horse. I believe it helped and was quite surprised at how much hard work it was to stay on the thing! I did find the seat on mine a bit wide and got rather sore inner thighs but on the whole I'm sure it helps.

I found it wide as well. Might stick my saddle on it! My stomach, back and legs feel a bit achy so thats a good sign!

CP it sounds like a sex toy and looks a bit like one as well!

I also bought one off EBay to use following my hip replacement as the thought of getting straight back on (and off) a real horse was a bit scary!! I only now use it for five minutes at a time on the random setting but in my opinion it does make a difference.

I have a medicarn 'horse's, if it really was a horse I'd have shot it but as an exercise gadget it has improved my core stability and loosened my stiff hips, Again only to be used in private!

It's great fun to put friends on it and send it into the full blown exercise routine, the screams of horror are hilarious plus the instruction book has been through several translations and is howlingly funny!

I want one as well now! Wish I could just plug my veterinary expertise defying slowcoach sicknote ex-racer into the mains...might get more life out of him...

I recently gave up riding and found my hip joints getting stiff and painful again. I did not want to ride again so I bought a secondhand iJoy ride. Just ten to fifteen minutes a day, just five minute sessions initially several times a day, on the slowest setting has freed up my back and hips again, it only took a few days to feel the effects. I have not had it a week yet but it is doing the job I wanted. Very pleased.

Have been swithering whether to buy one for ages to develop my core...Just bought one on fleabay...yee ha!

I just got a Medicarn one on eBay! Great fun and hilarious to see my husband try it!! I would not have thought of it without this thread!
