I was thinking on my way to work, if my horses could buy me something what would it be.....?

Happy Birthday. I didn't think it was much different turning 30. I found the year between being 31 and 32 much harder.

Not sure on middle age but the average age in the UK is 39, and is 26.6 in the world. (Office of National Stats).
