I'm a bloke. I hate shopping, but I need Breeches. HEELLLLLP!

Why not buy some thermal leggings & wear normal breeches?
That's what I do, I am a girl but they do men's thermal leggings so it would work the same

This is taupe(ish)

Personally I use the Mark Todd Auckland breeches. Can't really fault them for the price, but i'm of the opinion that skin tight jods on a man looks a bit daft unless white material in certain competitive spheres.

Can't help my husband has similar requirements to you OP (except he wants jodhs not breeches for the length) and he has had such trouble finding anything he's still wearing ancient saddlemasters.

Dont reckon you ride at all, just posting to chat to ladies.
I hate shopping with a passion but dont class time spent in tack shop as shopping.

PS straight male rider of 49 years experience!
Ha! As the only man on a DIY livery yard of 25 owner/riders I am never short of women to talk to. I thought you'd know this sort of thing being a straight male rider of 49 years experience. Actually I came on the H&H forum because I thought, as the magazine is perhaps the only equestrian publication that isn't skewed towards women, there maybe some other blokes on the forum with good recommendations for where a lazy shopper like me can find good breeches. As it happens the women here have been the most helpful by far!

I agree about the shopping though. Buying for my horse is exciting. Unfortunately he already has three of everything he needs.

Probably as the OP has stated he wants tightly fitted breeches with no pleats. Not a look I particularly admire on a man!
I know! I think most women feel the same (and probably most men). Rest assured it's a purely a comfort thing not a fashion statement. I generally get changed at the yard. Hop on my horse. Ride it around a bit, hop-off, and get changed back into civvies almost immediately. There's no parading about for me!

Thanks for all the useful suggestions everyone. So far the Equetech close contact breeches with over trousers for the winter is my favourite combo. Let me know if you find any good winter weight breeches though. The less I have to splash out the better.
