I'm a huge disappointment to you all (Milton Keynes BE100+ report)...

Oh and here was me just about to go and make a mug of tea, you've saved me a job :D

Wonder which Cheeky Boy's turn it will be to be Teacher's Pet next time? Who got what points this time??

Well done on the DC's AND the 4th place :D And loving the quote in your sig :D

Haven't been reading your reports as usually see pics and vids on facebook but as i'm on here, i'll comment, so here goes for my constructive critisism.......

Good job young lady :D

Well that sounds like a good day at the office. I have this great video of me doing the Novice at Longleat, in the SJ, where the commentator announces my dressage score as being 29. Sadly, it was more like a 39, but it is a great video as it makes it look like I was actually good at something, and it was the one time I had people there watching - they were all thrilled, I was saying that I was absolutely certain the score was wrong!!

He has to make his international debut in France and we'll come cheer you on! He can meet Freddy and they can compare jokes...

Now that sounds like a plan, a Baydale road trip. :D Pompadour (sp?) maybe? Although it's a very long way to go to have your horse take the mickey out of you.

Oh I've moved on from tea, just come back from the pub in fact. :D

Hopefully it'll be Cal's turn next time. Don't ask me about F points, I'm far too old school to get my head around them.

Re the quote: have you read "Bounce"? You really should if you haven't already. It's very interesting.

Ooh, I was recoiling there, ready for you to out me as a horse beater... ;) :D

Thanks, wizoz (for humouring me :p).

Thanks, SC. However, nowadays you'd be sure that you'd most definitely got a 29, wouldn't you? Therein lies the reasoning for the use of the quote in my siggy. :)

At a Novice BE I would probably fall off the horse in shock if I got a 29. Chatter1 managed that and better, but frankly lets not forget all my good scores this year have been at unaff 80 or 90, not anything 'proper'! If I start BEing again and manage to replicate it, then I'll believe I have improved - for now I've just shifted the goalposts rather!! (and TBH having found my natural level, I am not inclined to go back to being 20th or thereabouts any time soon, so I may never rejoin BE ;))

At last, The Photos:

I don't believe that for a minute. You don't strike me as one who wouldn't challenge herself to move up when you got bored with level you're at. :)

Lovely pics! Jup seems to have shrunk?! Or does he just look more ponylike because of the "bright" expression on his face?! :p

Love the pics of Cal Sjing, he looks a lot more "together" and less "rangy". You've got two very smart ponies there, aren't you "lucky"

:p ;) :p

Shrunk?! I doubt it. Maybe changed shape and lost his puppy fat?

Cal does look good, and even though it wasn't the best round as far as the inbetween bits were concerned he still did a good job when he left the ground. :D

And yes, I am SO lucky...:p

Great report! (and i love the faces - I haven't mastered them yet!)
and well done on the DC's.

I thought they had done a good job on the going too - Wish and Alex were 7th in the BE100 with DC on only their 2nd XC run - (one very proud mum here!)

Sounds like a fab outing for the boys-what about bribing the judges so that they can see the through that shiny bay exterior to the inner dressage diva desperate to get out? :)

TP points, not F points (does anyone understand them!) Cal is really looking like a Baydale boy these days, not the brown giraffe that first arrived (although he was a very lovely brown giraffe, before anyone takes offence!) :o He certainly deserves the points next time!

I take it Bounce is one of them sports psychology types books? I have no need to spend money on them, I have a living, breathing version in my OH, he has folders full of motivational type reading and a brain to match. He does come in handy occasionally, plus he can lift several poles at once from all his working out, so is useful when building grids! :D

Thanks, JM, I have a full range of horrified expressions, many more than I have of delighted expressions it seems. :o

Well done to Wish and Alex, I'm sure I saw him warming up for dressage but was trying not to make myself feel more inadequate by staring at all the smart horses. ;)

I may well have to resort to bribery but meantime it's slog, slog, slog. Maybe a stressage lesson or two might help? :p

Ah, Teacher's Pet points, I'm such a dope. :o I think they should be awarded for effort in which case Cal got 10, Jup only got 6 but they were for (relatively) good behaviour as he wasn't really trying that hard, more cruising his way round.

That's a handy OH to have but you should read Bounce anyway, just so you can recognise the quotes from those on here who have read it. ;) :D
