well today prince came back into work. All be it just 10 mins walk on the lunge in the pessoa... but he was sound :-) He had his 3rd trim on tuesday and the farrier is very impressed with his feet. he has been living out for the last few weeks and i decided today i would give him a wash and a trim and lunge him in walk with the pessoa. The last lot of walking he did was in october and not once did he break into trot being lunged today.( i was expecting him to explode!) Such a star! I cant tell you how pleased i am :-D may seem something minor but i have been waiting for a long time for this. I just hope he stays sound and my happyness isnt shattered.
Just a few photos of him on the lunge and after his wash and trim.
Im chuffed with how well he looks, he has no muscle at all but has a very good coverage this winter. he has been on nothing but haylage and hoof kind and top form pellets which i think has made a huge difference.
you wait, il go down the yard in the morn and he will have injured himself on something!

Its great when they come back into work .... though you never stop worrying about them and worry yourself silly. He looks lovely and with the sun shining too !
 
Aww that's fab :) Fingers crossed he stays sound :) I know how you feel, my mare is coming back into work slowly and i have everything crossed that she stays sound!
He is lovely btw. He has a cute face :)
 
it was a beautifal day today. glorious sunshine!
good timing seeing as the hose pipe was out! he was far from impressed about having his mane washed! had to take the scissors to it though :-/ he would not let me pull it!
 
thank you guys. il try and keep you updated. now looking forward to getting on him when hes muscled up :-)
