I'm eight miles from my yard, so drove most of the way and walked the rest. Really hoping it melts by the time I leave work at 5:30pm!!
I'm about to walk the five miles to the yard. Anyone else on foot this morning?

Roads here were fine today. It's melting rapidly. We had a lot yesterday and there is plenty left but it is definitely thawing. My only concern is going to be getting out of my parking space at work this evening I think!

This snow is nothing!!!
Last year we had pretty much 2 months of calf deep snow, black ice and freezing temperatures, and I drove to work and the horses every day. Admittedly I went sideways and backwards sometimes, but I always got there and never even thought about walking it. Just steady up, think ahead and make sure you have emergency numbers and supplies in the car. Oh, I have a ford fiesta zetec, not exactly known for off roading! My Dad is out in the diatsu with flat trailer and hay on the back for the sheep, he did that every day of the snow last year with no problems.
