Well I am home from the land of the draw reins, very burnt in two spots that I missed with the cream.....

bad times. Anyway, saw many famous people and lots of awsomeness so heres a selection of photos, videos from both days will be in another post.
First class of the day was the youngser championship for 7 and 8 year olds, was cool but didn't watch masses as couldn't sit in the stadium as it was too hot!

Guess what happened here! Smack!

Cross country course wasa fabulous, very easy to see the real meat of the course from one area so we didn't walk the whole thing, plus our stadium seats were next to the final jump! Spot the famous faces!

Marathon was awsome! Course was great, again with 4 of the 8 obstacles in close proxcimity and got some great videos including of Karen Basset, the only brit competing. Also met her back steppers really randomly. The black team with red highlighted harness made a right meal of part of the course... wheeler had a nasty fresh graze on his hip he must have picked up earlier on the course and then a leader slammed into an obstacle, breaking it in the process, it must have really hurt.... Anyway! Oooo and 1st photo is officially the best photo I've ever taken! lol

Awww you should do it! Its so fantasically organised, no mud. When I win the lottery and have my international venue I'm totally basing it on Aachen. It was fabulous, the course was designed thinking of spectators too, without lessening the challenge.

On the other hand.... it was baking..... we stayed in Heerlen too which was really nice and out of the busyness

love the driving horse having a spook at the water, bum down and head up, great stuff - so brave -people and neddies

There was an earlier spanish driver and both his leaders spooked every time then had to enter the water (4-5 times on this obstacle depending on route) it really surprised me as water is so common in HDT! Didn't put up photos or videos of him as time was very slow and very rough although I do have a video of karen basset cocking up which I will post

Did think of you the other day - they had the in hand heavy classes etc from the Royal Show on the box - a lovely Percheron mare won!!
