Very busy afternoon yesterday and then a hectic day today!
Willow is proving to be an amazing youngster
. Bathed her properly for the first time yesterday and she was as good as gold.
Then plaited her up which shes never had done - plaited mane, forelock and tail without her fidgeting or doing anything but standing rock solid!
Shes better than all my others and shes only 10 months old! Then put her to bed with strict orders she must not sleep with any part of her body in poo.
Well she didnt! My instructor/friend who has got her at the minute woke up at 3am
very excited about the show, even though she wasnt coming with me, so got her mucked out and groomed her thoroughly before I got there at 5am! Only her top notch plait was out a bit so said id replait that at the show. She walked straight on the trailer and off we went.
Took us about 2 1/4hrs ish to get to Leicester. Got her cleaned up and ready for the first class. She behaved impeccably to say a few riders were being idiots and cantering their horses at the handful of yearlings who were stood nicely at the far edge of the ring, which made them all scatter!
Took her in the Irish Draught Sports Horse class. She was a superstar, really moving on and showing off. Got pulled in 2nd and was nearly moved up to 1st after the second trot up. Judge really couldnt decide between 1st and 2nd so left us as we were. So pleased with Willow - he says shes got lovely elevated and elegant paces and would love to see her again in 12months time. He said he thought she was a lovely little girl who behaved amazingly for her first show (huge show) without her mum! So ive got a lovely 2nd rosette and a huge IDHS(GB) rosette as she was one of the higest on the Sports Horse register.
So here you go a few photos for you! Excuse the fat cow thats leading her (thats me!)

So apart from the great day me and mum have discussed the day and how we are pleased with Willow that we are going to be putting EBi back in foal April/May ish time next year to Primitive Star again!!!!!
