I'm back in one piece... just about!!!!!!! Futurity Championships

Your young stock would not have been mensioned at all if indeed you had not mensioned them yourself.
There is no finger pointing but beings as you yourself used your own horses to highlight the fact that you thought, in negative terms, that others were pulled in above yours and they were 'fat' it does not take a rocket scientist to work out which those horses may have been.
I think you have some lovely young stock from really good bloodlines and i honestly believe that they will be great horses for the furture but i do feel however on this occation that your critisism is not really substantiated.
I do hope you continue to take part in the system as i think all breeders with the energy and motivation that you have shown will benifit from it. Even if at times it is not exactly what you had in mind...... 'you can please some of the people some of the time........but not all of the people .......

I do think it was made clear at the start of the whole series that the championship would be judged as a 'showing' class, in that scores would not be given, but the judge would place the horses in order of preference. So I dont know why anyone is surprised by this.
Remember it was one persons opinion on one day. Some horses showed their socks off, some didnt do as well as they had on their evaluation day. Every horse there had been given super scores in their evaluation and deserved to be there. Some just went better on the day and fitted that particular judges ideals more than others.

As I work for a showing yard, I know that some days you win and some days you are further down the line. Depends on the judge, how the horse went on the day, and how the other horses went.
