Just a quick update really. Gave babyhorse a few days off in the field, brought him in today and my little sister got on him. She's capable and confidant although technically no better than me, but I've never seen anyone else ride him.

Warmed him up and his canter is a bit flatter than I thought it was when I'm on him. Put a cross pole up with a placing pole and he flew it, jumped it a couple of times and then put it up to a straight of around 2'9 and he also flew it. Didn't touch a pole. It would appear that he's waiting for me to tell him when to take off and I'm just leaving it to him! He went really well for her, then I got on and he flattened it!
I then started to ride to the placing pole and telling him when to take off and he went great and didn't knock anything.

So as much as nobody likes to admit it- it's defiantly my riding! I'm just not seeing a stride at all! Poor babyhorse! I appologised for calling him useless and I'm sorting a trainer out tomorrow now I have a few days off work.

Then my sister fell off- in walk ;) being the caring big sister, I laughed :D
