I'm Bloody Fuming

Tell them not to bother returning the pony, its a heart-break but it will be worse in the long run - also, where does it leave your daughter if said ponio is injured going XC or similar, your pony getting injured while you ride is one thing, having it injured while being competed by someone else is quite another.

Simply not right

Asi said in the other post, i would never presume to rock up and 'borrow' my mare (who is out on loan) simply because i felt like going competing

Thats not what you do when you loan a pony out surely! its not fair on you or you're little girl, just give him back, im sure theres lots of lovely younger loan ponies available. Good luck

Sorry FF. Can't agree with you on this. Either the pony is on loan or it isn't. My son's old pony is on loan to the riding school, he rides her on lessons and I still pay the same price as everyone else having lessons, despite being the owner of the pony.

Really>? Why does your son not just have the pony?
I know I know but sometimes it is better to think of a way around things without falling out and telling people to bugger off becasue they are not thinking!

Because this pony is fine for riding school use, but she was not suitable for Toby as a total beginner although she is fine on a lesson. Toby has another little pony to have at my sister's yard. I didn't want to sell her so loaning her to the riding school that Toby rides at seemed the best choice. Does sound a bit weird though!

I agree with most of the other posters, the owner is taking the p***!!. The girl that is using him to compete on isn't even the pony's owner!!! It's not fair on you and especially on your daughter. i would send the pony back if they don't agree to stop using the pony for other people.

Jane - I think we are now looking (again!) for a 13.2 - 14.2hh pony that has a nice nature and is suitable for pony club - ie little bit of jumping, little bit of XC and a few local shows - nothing big or ambitious - just something to have fun on. I am open to loan or buy or loan with view to buy. We offer a 5* private home where any owner can turn up at any time (but not take pony away!!!)

I would NOT put up with that nonsense. Have you tried contacting PC's in the area to see if any of the outgrown ones are available for loan? I knew someone who did this as the family wanted to keep him for the younger child who was not quiet ready for him.
