I haven't been on here for a long time nor have I ever posted about my mare who I've had nearly a year now! :o
So I thought I'd post some pics and see what people thought of her.
She's a coloured TBx, 16.1hh, who will be 10 later this month. Didn't pay a penny for her (though forked out for her saddle that we brought from her old owners). Was told that she doesn't jump, hack, etc, etc. But so far she's proven everyone wrong. She's had a mystery illness over winter so was out of action for a few months, but on the plus side gave us a chance to bond and she's come on leaps and bounds since. Can't say that she has brillant confo IMO, but she makes it up in her pretty face!
Warning, there's quite a few piccies to come, and I'll try and find a video to put up showing her monster jump ;)

excuse the lack of matchy matchy!

Very nice indeed. I was expecting to see a bit of a rescue case from what you said but she looks a nice type. What happened with her previously to make the owners think she couldn't jump or hack?

She looked a bit like one over winter!
Old owners were the nervy type, they never tried to jump her the whole 9 years they had her and let her get away with murder by the sounds of things. Apparently she decided that she wouldn't hack one day and they never tried going out again!
She takes the mick a bit if you're not confident with her, you see.

Sounds like you've landed on your feet with her! Shame that the old owners were too nervous to do much but great for you. At least you know her history too. She looks like she'll be great fun, you're very lucky!!

Thanks people, I think I got lucky with her!
I've always had a soft spot for coloureds Abbey, never thought I'd have one though!

Found a video of us jumping, now to get the darn thing on the internet :o

Finally got it up! First clip and the last 2 are from the summer, the middle from our 2nd jump session since she's been back in work.
excuse me falling on her neck in the last two, I hadn't quite got used to her jump! :o

Love her - she is quite unusually marked isn't she! Very nice and she has a lovely kind face. What a super jump too! I think she looks like she might have nice paces for dressage too.

Thanks, the marking on her body is actually one big patch that wraps round from her neck and under her belly. Though from the photos of her siblings it seems to be the norm. Her sire's Lucky Dealer if that rings a bell.
I'd love to try dressage but I don't have the seat and she doesn't have the brakes!
