So far this season from the start of July:
We fall on the flat xc, neither of our faults, just one of those things unfortunatly.
Then gets infection in hind leg
(which only showed up when we arrived at tattersalls ode and i began to warm up)
Means we miss the areas (pc qualifiers) which I really wanted to do as we had a real shot of getting to england for champs. Also means no chance of doing necarne 1* in sept as would never be fit enough.
Kindly lent horse for the area jumping, jumps fantastic 1st round eliminated 2nd round (not my fault!) and just one of those things unfortunatly
Thankfully merlin is a.ok, feeling VERY well and we are back in work. His canter feels very powerful at the moment!!
but was lent a fantastic horse for area dressage yesterday, and i rode him in total of 4 times and we were going really really well.
Then when warming up for the dressage the fantastic horse was lame. I could have cried.
And just to rub it in my team was 2nd (I not in team since i didnt compete)
And we probably could have won (horse was that fantastic) the team comp.
I am now very worried, as 2 out of 3 horses that I have ridden have been lamed, not really sure i want to lame another horse
But I have been chosen to represent Norn Iron at dublin horse show in the combined training class (to showcase irish pony club and invitation for north to send someone) on the 8th and 9th so very apprehensively looking forward to that, with the way my luck is going at the moment I dont expect to go really.
so i dunno, someone it seems to be telling me to stop riding, sorry for pointless post, i just need to let it all out really.
