Had to post on here because I'm just so excited! Me and several of my friends visited a riding centre called Cumbrian Heavy horses in the Lake District again this year (I try to get there twice a year if I can) and on a lovely sunny day when we turned up they asked we'd be ok getting filmed for the Lakes TV. Of course we said yes! and here, at about 5minutes, we are! I'm in the maroon jacket, the solo gallop at one point! :D

Thanks of course to the lovely Annie Rose, the owner of the stables, we had an amazing time as usual and you should ALL try it! There is nothing like galloping tonnes of heavy horse down a beautiful empty Lake District beach!

Wow what beautiful riding on the beach, I bet you had a load of fun! I've never ridden a Clydesdale before so I can imagine it is one hell of an experience. Lovely to see a large group of horses all of the same breed enjoying themselves in the sea :D

What a great place not too far from me, you looked like you were having a blast.
Hope your not gonna let all of the fame go to your head.
Please line up for autographs..... lol
What super horses and they can shift too.

I'll try to squeeze my big head through doorways. lol. they can shift as well! I mean we're not talking throughbreds here but one, Little Prince, Annies pride and joy was on our ride and we were galloping along and she let him go and he literally left us for dust. It was like we were standing still! and he does a passable Piaffe as well! lol You should all definatly try it! It's an experience! I'm going again in September! :D

Looks like good time had-I was up there photographing last year and they were fab

Ohh how exciting to be filmed for tv :)

I love heavies , all the horses look lovely and the beach ride looked fab!

ETA: I think it was the Cumbrian heavy horses that done the 'Great Clydesdale Migration' that I read about in a mag a few years ago! Riders rode 'legs' of the journey taking the 10 horses from the Isle of Skye to Cumbria to set up Cumbrian heavy horses. They must have been saddle sore! But must have been such an epic experience!

Lovely video- hope you can cope with your new found fame! I may be a little biased but I would highly recommend a visit to anyone else- I own one of the Shires at CHH and he is a very happy chap there!

Don't know if anyone else has seen the 'Derby' at the Royal Highland Show just outside Edinburgh, normally on the last day there is a Native Derby in the main ring with 2 Clydesdales, 2 Highlands and 2 Shetlands. (as an ex-highland pony owner, glad to say they always win unless the Shetland cheat and cut the course), it's great fun to watch, along with the Ridden Clydesdales class that they now hold.

Ahhhh i love this place! I went a couple of years ago with my OH for our anniversary. hes been on a few ponys when he was very little but thats about it. he quite fancys him self as a bit of a John Wayne (But cant ride) i must admit i laughed all the way round because his face was a picture of pure fear :D although his horse Brouge diddnt put a hoof wrong :). i had the beautiful Gypsy for the day, if i could of taken her home with me i actually would of shes the sweetest horse ever! x
