I'm seriously considering moving yards.
I do have my own post and rail paddock at home, however i dont really want to move onto it until the evenings get lighter and i actually get some stables!! Until then, im really looking for somewhere to move. I'm fed up of rushing down to the farm in the dark, my yard being covered in mud, awful fields and flooded schools. My horse is a kind that sort of needs to be ridden very reguarly so im fighting a loosing battle. The fields arent so much of a problem, as i know that it is winter, so mud is to be expected..but anyway! My rant is, does anyone know of any livery yards in kent for either DIY/ Assisted/ or part? flood lit / all weather arena needed!! And of course.. an indoor one would be a bonus, but this obviously isn't likely.

Thanks for anyones tips anyway!
Just had to have a rant..

I'm in Kent. I'm right on excellent hacking, but there is no arena and the mud is... terrible.
How far can you travel? If you let us know what sort of area you could manage to get to, maybe we can think of some ideas. Speedgate Farm in Fawkham has fantastic hacking, and outdoor arenas, restricted turnout in winter I think but most liveries seem to like it there.

My yard is in Wingham, near Canterbury, and has a space right now! It would probably take you about half an hour to get there, just down the A2. It has good hacking, 20x40 floodlit arena, good turnout, lovely YO, nice people, lovely insrtuctor that comes twice a week. Fields are muddy by the gate ways but no more than anywhere else. PM me if you want more details.

Stables not essential, anything 5 acres + considered.

I saw a yard and house for rent nr canterbury not so long ago, google it!!!! can't think where i saw it now, but i did see it on the internet

Oh thanks, but I can't afford to rent a house as well! Last yard I had was @£360 pcm, 3 stables and a barn and an arena, about 6 acres. That was in quite a pricey area, but the hacking was not good. I'd settle for less facilities but hacking... am thinking 5 acres+ because it would be nice to have someone come in with me for mutual help and support. Within 30 mins of Dartford.
Hen's teeth come to mind...

StaceyTanglewood, where are you?!? No mud...how shocking. And i'd be prepared to travel about 20 minutes - half an hour tops. Just having to consider traffic etc. Speedgate is a bit of a pain to get to .. x
