think its this whole homeless pony thing.

But all the yards i go and look at seem completly unsuitable.... or i might be snobby. Not sure which.

Basically things are not improving where i am so i do have to move, the yard where i really really really want to be wont take my little pony.

The private yard ive looked at is very nice, thought i was going to have it, but i think ill get lonely and bored, and my little pony might get laminitus on the grass, and theres no arena.

The livery yard i looked at today, is ok. Indoor stabling, outdoor menage, grass menage, jumping paddock, x country jumps. Liked i'd have somewhere to keep my stuff, and it was ok. Just didnt like it you know. There was nothing wrong with it, but it wasnt great. And its a 20min drive

awww thanks!!

Im settled where i am, so dont want to move.

But dont want to stay and pay full livery prices for grass livery and no stable.

Plus my OH is going mental over it, not cause we cant afford it, but cause im clearly not paying for what im getting

Can't remember what the status was. Probably a really daft question (is a speciality), but why aren't you getting what you're paying for? And if you aren't, why are you paying it?

The previous post today

This is the post i made earlier today, basically im paying £125 for 2 ponies on part livery and i dont even have my stables yet after 3 or 4 months of being there!!
Not good!

Oh and thats a week

no YO doesnt know im looking.

they are definatly taking the pee!!
Just had another convo with the OH, he said if i move to a DIY he'll be able to buy me a trailer....
hmmmmm wish granted! still got to find one though!
He's also told me to stop being fussy and full livery is for people in full time jobs and its time to move!!!

You might surprise yourself by moving. It's taken us a few goes, and I know the current one isn't ideal(!), but the people are nice and so long as the horses are in one piece and settled, it'll do for now

.

Take a friend and go and have a mooch about some more places

. I go with Friend or hubby - they see the bits that I'm being too pompous to register

Oh OK so it's not great still then, thats a shame hun....DIY isn't so bad ya know...I've done it all my time with horses, i did try Part but didn't like anyone else doing my horses...i'm well fussy!! LOL

I'm moving my little mare in a couple of weeks too, luckily I've got her in a fab yard with the best facilities around the area....but I have to pay for it!

I'm sure you'll find somewhere soon, just keep searching, I drive around to all the places I know of and ask them if they can recommend anymore yards....if you dont ask you dont get!

Good luck my sweet

xx

Have you looked at Boyton Hall, it is 20 minute drive from Ipswich. Adrian who now runs it is really nice and they do have lovely facilities.

To be totally honest in the area you are £60 per week per pony is cheap for part livery, the cheapest I could find was around £90 a week in your area going back a year ago.

There are yards but you will be looking at around £90/£120 a week per horse.

I can also more than highly recommend Groton (again 20 minutes from Ipswich) with a friend of mine, her part livery is £75 a week per horse but her standards are very very high, excellent facilties 90 acres of park land, cross country course, sandschool and she is totally dedicated to her horses. She is highly qualified instructor and her care really is second to none.

PM me if you want her number or other suggestions. I hope you find somewhere soon, there is nothing worse than being unhappy at a yard, after all this is meant to be our hobby.
