I've just spent the whole of yesterday and today getting stuff ready for riding club camp which starts tomorrow. I have been overly excited since Berlin's owner agreed to let me take him, back in January. I left the field at 6pm and went to a friend's yard to drop off feed for her to feed my horse while I'm away, and got a call from B's owner saying has he been behaving unusually/ have I fed him anything? He's apparently looking quite colicky. I will KILL him as if I can't take him, I can't go! I couldn't go last year as my horse tore her tendon! ARGH horses!!
Good vibes much appreciated!

Edited to add: I did mean to say, I hope poor B is ok! I'm not just thinking about camp, I want him to be ok too!

Sadly not, she's retired as she wrote herself off completely. If Berlin isn't ok I'm going to have to make a few pleading phonecalls and if not, that's £200+ down the drain AND a poorly pony! I wish owner would call me!!

Calm down S Im sure he is fine and N is just taking her time to get back to you cos she wants to ensure he is totally better before giving you the go-ahead. If he isn't, then we can share Philip-Findus-Fingers, he's alright to ride as long as you can cope with him only owning the one set of boots

.

Or you could graciously offer to take little war-horse, would do her the world of good!!

Update - thank you all for the good vibes, B did colic but only very mildly, owner didn't mess around and got vet out straight away and she gave B a shot of painkiller and checked he was ok. Owner is checking him in a short while to make 100% sure but he was apparently picking at feed when vet left, and he had pooed. Vet said camp is fine tomorrow as long as he's ok now, and I have some Danilon "just in case". We reckon he had picked up on the fact that something is going on, and also the thundery weather probably didn't help and he just started getting stressed.
SO relieved! But now I am SO behind with sorting my stuff!!

You've stopped worrying, now it's my turn to start - if the merest whiff of an exciting day sets him off, what the jiggers (good word Ethel) will he be like after 2.5 hours of being dragged along behind the Ethel-Mobile?

I might make up some big stickers to put on the sides of the Ethel-mobile to that effect

Finn has very white socks and a beautiful smelling tail, you'll be impressed (hoping that the dazzling whiteness of socks will detract from dazzling bog-brushiness of new mane hairdo)
