Im gutted

My mare that i posted on here about last year loosing her foal,is currently due to foal in may,is looking like she is loosing her foal again.The vet does not think it is looking good.
Absoultly gutted.Just what i didnt need on top of finding out that my mum has cancer that cant be cured.I feel like giving up.

So sorry to hear that, what a sh1t time for you, I am currently going through the terminal cancer thing with an extrmely close relative so I know how you feel, it's a horrible time. Hope your mare can hang on to the foalie, keeping fingers crossed for you. xxx

I am really sorry, we went through this 2 years on the trot too with our warmblood mare and lost 2 loved human ones in amongst it all.

Spend as much quality time as you can with your mum, do things that you know she enjoys doing and make the time you have count.

As for your mare - as much as it kills you, some mares are just not meant to be mums..... enjoy your darling mare as much as you can, and perhaps if she is cycling properly, is there any chance of you doing Embryo Transfer with her into another mare so that the other mare can carry the foal? Was it to the same stallion? Some mares and stallions are not a good mix either - meaning that while their conformation and temperament and ability might be great on both parts, physically with the embryos they just dont 'hit it off'..........

Thankyou everyone.....it means alot.
Have been out with my mare most of the night,and she hasnt lost the foal yet,but things are moving along.She isnt too bad in herself,all things considering.
Shellcoburn,it was to a different stallion.Although that would of been a nice thought sadly not the case.I dont think i will try her again.She will just have to be a pet!
