After being a little sh** the first week he has now accepted he must work and is co-operating fully.
We were sending him away to be backed but think perhaps now we won't bother, as his attitude is so different now. Sometimes when they have been born here it does them good to be shoved into the hurley burley of a big yard.
For anyone who wonders why he is lunged straight off the bit I could show you pics of him that first week, stood straight on end attached to the lungeing cavesson, or attempting to jump out over the gate, still attached to said cavesson.. We decided the bit was the better option...

he is one of the reasons we may stand Chocx down from competing next year, with lovely youngsters like him and jacques, it seems daft to persevere with a 16 year old.

He looks lovely, as all your horses do. I have just bought a 4 year old, and he also seems to have a great attitude, extremely willing, and trusting.
Will look forward to updates on him.

He looks stunning, some really lovely pics on there, i also have a four year old i hope he continues in the same manners

Sounds a sensible decision to me HH, you've now got a recent proven competition record for CHocs to and got him out and about and noticed a bit, which hopefully will bring you some more outside mares for covering and then your daughter can't introduce the youngsters to the joys of eventing.

And as proven before if accidents happen Chocs can still be a backup.

Are any of the youngsters sires by chocs? Would it be worth taking one of them out with him just to show them off?
