I'm happy!

I have had a really bad year. I had an accident, 9 surgeries and a difficult time with the horse (bought the wrong one 6 weeks before my accident).

Things seem to be on the up and I just have to tell someone.

After a long search, we found just right horse for me and he came home on Monday. A piebald 15.2 welsh dx cob gelding called Buddy is now all mine.

So far, things are going well and he is settling in nicely. He has the nicest nature and I think is just the guy for me.

Fingers crossed it carries on like this

Thanks for the replies. Although it wasn't a riding accident, I found that my nerve had gone when I was allowed back on board.

The only thing that kept me going while I was in hospital was the thought of riding and spending time with my horse.

It was a heartbreaking decision to part company with my boy but I truly think I have made the right decision and Buddy and I will have some fun.

We went out for our first hack last night and I almost cried tears of relief and happiness when we got back. He was so well behaved and we had a great time.

I know its early days but I have a good feeling about him. He was my last ditch attempt at riding. If we didn't work I was giving up
