Evening everyone
Mad Mare seems to be getting more and more excitable recently and today I came scarily close to having my first fall from her as she spun around and around on front legs, then back legs, and then proceeded to energetically rodeo her way across a field at high speed - the spins left me dizzy, I lost my stirrups during the broncing and I'm sure the only reason I managed to stay on was due to the gel acavallo seat saver I splurged on last week - glad I did!
Now I realise that due to her wonderfully enthusiastic nature
rolleyes
it's only a matter of time until I get lovingly thrown to the floor, but I'd like to put this off as long as possible as a) I'm not too sure how I'd ever catch her again and b) I'm still recovering from last years nasty fall and don't fancy another one any time soon. Unfortunately she seems to be immune to every calmer I've tried so far so can't even chill her out that way (bless)
I've heard about Sticky Bum jods but never used them - and when buying my seat saver I was told not to wear them as I'd stick to it and be unable to get off - now this sounds ideal!!
Is this true, are they really that effective (even if it means I have to be lifted off with saddle attached)?! Are there any brands which are particularly good but won't cost a fortune?
Any other superglue alternatives would be fab too! x
