Im lost for words... neglect

omg, i've never seen a thin shetland never mined one like that. how is he alive, omg i am in shock, hope he will be ok in few monthes and owner should be starved. i am soooooooooo disgusted with that, poor wee thing

Ow no poor baby :(
I couldnt find the story behind this little chap. As to where they rescued him from etc, surely no one with a normal state of mind could starve an animal like that.
What are the chances of him recovering fully now i wonder?
I sure hope he does he deserves a lovely life after his terrible ordeal i bet the little poppet is so uncomfortable. It makes me so angry.

If his gut is undamaged and there is no underlying reason for his emaciation other than a lack of food, he has a chance of pulling through.

Shocking. How on earth does he have the strength to stand?
Bless his heart, it even looks like he has a twinkle in his eye.. their will to live is truely amazing.

Oh he looks horrendous, poor boy. The worst thing is that I doubt his body will ever really recover from that and he will pay for it for the rest of his life. He has such a kind eye, whoever did that to him should be strung up!

Its hard to imagine that this amount of starvation has had no effect on his organs... here hoping it hasnt and he pulls through :(

I've known of one that thin that was pulled back and become a healthy horse again, although it was touch and go for a while.

They are incredibly tough creatures, but if that emaciation has been caused by a heavy worm burden there could be serious gut damage, which would make it unlikely that he would make it I'm afraid:(

At least he is safe now with people who will do the best for him.

Not only could a worm burden have damaged his gut, but the poor mite looks to have been in a state of chronic physical stress for quite some time - his body will have been breaking down its own tissue for months, just in order to survive. Muscle goes after fat I believe... he looks like he's got through all his outer muscles, I would be concerned that his heart would have been the next thing being broken down :(

He's only two for goodness sake

Good God. So pleased to see he's been rescued and is in the best place he can be. Hoping he pulls through. Will you keep us posted?
