I'm new! Tracing horses history can anyone help?

Hello everyone, i've been lurking on this forum for a while now and i must say you all seem really helpfull, so i was wondering if anyone could help me find out some history about my horse.

I've had him on loan about a 1 1/2 now its a kinda long term loan and me and his owner have become good friends (proof loans do work out for both sides!) his owner had him 7 years prior to me so i know all his history in that time but would like to know anything about him before that or if anyone knows anything about his sire, dam or siblings so we can swap notes.

So this is him, his name is Sir Galahad (William to his friends) born 18-05-94 he is 16.2 light bay TrakenherxTB on his AES reg papers the owner/breeder is Mrs Tapp, his sire was Merlin standing at Style Place Stud, Hadlow Kent and his dam was Just Forty.

Any info will be gratefully received, I love him and want to know all about him!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.If you google allbreedspedigree and enter the info that you have about your horse, it should come up with lots of family. You already have some info which makes it easier for you.

Ok perhaps not the one i'm thinking of but do you know where he came from?

I think he came from the stud the breeder/owners name on his papers are the same address as the stud, i've googled the stud but nothing comes up dont know if its still there.

Found this! It gives a contact for style place stud. Second horse down is Merlin. If you click on full details there is lots about him plus his breeding. They may be able to put you in touch with his breeder if it isnt them.
