im new

Hi all, been browsing for a while now but this is my first post. So been looking for a new horse

but having no luck. Im wondering now if what i am looking for is just not possible right now. Im looking for
* 15.2-16.2 mare or gelding
* Something along the lines of TB, TBxWB, ISH etc.
* 4-7yrs
* Want to eventually do some low level eventing, dressage, fun rides etc. So basically just a nice allrounder.
* Budget upto around £4k
So would just like some opinions on if anyone thinks there are horses like this around now.

When you say you have had no luck, what problems have you been finding, have you viewed a lot of horses that have not been as described in the ads? failed vettings?

With the prices at the moment surely there must be plenty of good alrounders for your budget.

Have you tried all the usual websites- horsequest, horsemart etc? I also think the local ad trader is good. I'm sure there are horses like that around at the moment and you have an ok budget so i'm sure you'll find one!

I would say be patient! Seriously. There are lots of 'right' horses out there for you and you will find one! Don't be tempted to settle for something out of frustration. Sometimes by viewing ones that may be suitable helps you focus on what it is you want. There may be things to add to your list that you haven't thought of. Don't mean to sound condescending but I have been in the position that you are in now - and yes, I found the right one but it was frustrating. Do what you are doing now, ask everyone and look, look, look. Good luck.

Always worth looking in the local tack shops on the noticeboards - most of the horses are then local which can save time whilst your looking.
