I just take the whole lot off (leaving legs if you prefer) no lines and no fluff clogging everything up and choking you

I've timed mine wrong this year, and clipped him 2 weeks ago. Otherwise I would have clipped him the start of Jan. But hey ho, it won't hurt him too much. That will be his last clip

Yep, you'll be fine. All of Al's are being reclipped/ clipped in the next few weeks (Bee is being sedated for it, hence the wait!). Reckon it's the middle of Feb when you need to stop unless it's unusually warm.

We only stop clipping in February! And that is a full clip with the legs left on (only due to the fact that my horse has sensitive legs - would take off legs if I could)

Mine will be re- blanket clipped tomorrow, then they'll get a full clip end/mid april. Do it every year, and their summer coats are always great.

Tank-cob gets clipped through the summer too.

I've just clipped mine for the 4th time this winter (luckily his re-growth is slowing down) and he'll have another clip in feb.

I always do my last clip at the end of Feb and don't get any problems, even with the chestnut who is a totally different colour clipped.

Another one who says clipping now is fine. GD has his second clip a couple of weeks ago and will probably get another one late Jan/early Feb and will be fine.

Yes it's still ok to clip...although if I could, I think of any excuse not too...even with overalls on I manage to get hair everywhere

I always do my last clip end of Jan and take everything off. Would have done to before Xmas but loathe to reclip when the weather was freezing and his work was getting erratic as could not ride!
