My saddle fitter came out last Wednesday to measure up for a new saddle for Flighty. All measurements taken and he says the saddle will be ready in about 5wks (not too bad!)
So whilst he was there I asked him to check my saddles over on the big girl. My dressage saddle was very flat so he took it away to be completely stripped of all flocking and redone. He checked Ebis Albion Kontrol on her and said he would be able to get it to fit her without the expense of me having to get a new head plate put on it!! (Even better!)

So he took them away and brought them back yesterday!! Yes its only taken him 3 days to sort them out. My dressage saddle looks amazing and my Albion is just its usual gorgeous self.

Im so glad I didnt sell the Albion now as the size I was going to replace it with wouldve been way way way too wide for her as hes had to slightly narrow my MW for it to fit her! Also I wouldntve got half of what I paid for it, so wouldve lost lots of money.

So best thing is ive got a lesson on Thursday and I can ride in my overhauled saddle!! Hopefully well start looking more like a dressage horse and rider now!
Also I dont think it cost that much to sort out.

So how much would you expect to pay for a saddle to be completely restuffed/reflocked? & how much would you pay for a saddle to have its tree modified, restuffed and checked over?

he only charged me £65 for fully reflocking/restuffing it - hes overstuffed it too (not too much though) so when it has nicely settled it will sit perfectly on her. He said hell check it over for me in 4-5wks time when he brings Flightys saddle down and make anymoer adjustments to it there and then.
He only charged me £60 for the other saddle!
