Oh they were, I am so glad I read your post otherwise I would never have known how to put them up. I have pinched them, (but kept a record of where they were) in the hope that one day, (I could as it turns out this day) go back & nab them! Im always keeping a look out for youngsters (but not in the market at the moment!)
So from what I have seen, eventing youngstock start at about £2500 for a foal and dont seem to increase much until they are backed. Unless they are by Primitive Rising or Jumbo where people are asking £3500-4500 on their breeding (as a foal/youngster).
Dressage youngsters are starting at £4k - 6K (depending on breeding) for a foal and seem to increase more during the next 3 years but again not a huge amount. Unless they are by/out of a very well known stallion/mare and then they are serious money!.
I dont know about SJ particularly as I dont SJ!
So if your stallion/mare has produced other competitive animals it would really be worth stating that in your ad. I know I would be looking for that sort of info and it would sway me to come and look if I wasnt sure!
I cant give a value for your colt but starting price as a guide would be £2500 (absolute lowest £2000) and I think he would sell if his movement is good. If he is better than average then add more to the price.
I think professionals may have different opinions but for average Joe Bloggs like me this is prob a good guide for you!

he has such a pretty face!!!!i would say around 2500+.
not really into the eventing but as mum and dad have performed and if he moves well, i would prob say 3kplus.

Talking of budding young riders, I know a certain young lady who competed in the u16's at scope and was very unlucky to have missed out on the championship qualifier by just two places on her 1st horse that she's only had out to 4 shows.............
