I have had to put my new mare and foal in tonight as worming them as seen worms in her poo and would rather they were in the stable than out on the pasture plus risk of colic and scouring.

Anyways I made the stable up banks and all. Made up haynets and water buckets. Then when I put her in my headcollar is neatly hanging up next to stable and I have secretly enjoyed it and excited about mucking out in the morning and making a neat bed again tomo even though they are staying in. I think I have had mine on full turn out for too long hehehe. God I am sad.

Noo your not sad at all. There's something, hmmm what's the word, nurturing? about doing all that stuff. It's really satisfying. My moor bred little Exmoor, born to live out his life in the wilds, and lives out 24/7 unless it's time for worming, just LOVES coming into the stable, he looks all smug and happy when I bring him into a lovely straw filled perfect stable. He stuff his face full of hay and lays down and sleeps for hours looking so content.

Have fun mucking out...
