I went up to put Benson out this morning as Ive started stabling at night, i managed to have some rubber matting a previous livery left few months back so i set him up with it he has 1foot banks and matting with shaving on top in half his stable rest is bare floor and i have the messiest thing on 4 legs when it comes to stabling!

so i went up there knowing i had work cut out to a brilliant surprise there was a horse impression on my bed lol u could see where he was lying, and no poo on his bed! hes gone in front of the bed on bare floor and peed so i took a wheel barrow out of poo with little bit of shavings if he keeps this up ill be happy as before he needed a bag shavings every 2 days!

im still shocked now!!!

hahaha how considerate of him

Hope he isn't lulling you into a false sense of security lol Be great if it continues!

My old mare is a very tidy girl, she poos in one heap, in one part of the stable and wees in another set place. And never, ever lies in it (in 10 years she has never had a stable stain)

She also hates getting her feet wet or muddy and will audibly gasp if she treads in mud or a puddle. I've known her to stand marooned on the hard standing around the gate for hours in winter as she cannot bring herself to stand on that horrid squishy grass (mean owner forces her out into the paddock lol)

But, and here is the weird thing, she loves rolling in mud

as long as it is the right, just sticky texture.

Thats unusual, my horse wont pee unless he has a bed down let alone on bare rubber matting.

Its just as well he has a pee place and a poo place, that helps with mucking out.

Lucky you, a toilet trained horse.

HE HE HE, what a good boy.

I had the same shock today, went to take off boys new rug, not a poo mark on the actual rug or the leg straps, in the 15 years I have had him this is a first
