I've just had the most awful phone call and am sat here sick with worry.
Sidney came in from the field last night with a cut to his front leg about 2 inches above his knee. Hubby cleaned the wound up and since the vet was coming first thing this morning anyway, and on the advice of the YO, we left it.
The vet has been and stitched him up but she's seriously not happy and thinks he might have fractured his leg. They're coming back with a portable xray asap. I feel absolutely sick.
Hubby is at the yard with him as he was off work today and I'm going as soon as they know what time they're coming back.
Having never had a horse beofre and not having dealt with this I've got all sorts of horrors running through my mind. Really after a hug and some positive vibes that its not as bad as the vet fears it might be.
