Im so sorry freddie, i tried :(

So sorry to hear this, but you have done your best with Freddie. Lots of hugs - he has a really caring owner who has looked after him. Having been (and I am now in) the same situation I completely sympathize. It's the last thing we can do to ensure they do not suffer, and the kindest.

I know how you feel. I spent a fortune on my girl and I was lucky, because she got old enough to develop conditions of old age and that is what saw her off in the end. There is no treatment for the ravages of time sadly, just the chance to put off the inevitable for a while. I had run out of options for further treatment and her situation was soon going to be one of considerable pain. Think of it as the ultimate treatment though, like I did, because afterwards my horse had no more pain or disability, and no more being bullied by other younger horses who realised she was a soft target. You did your best and no-one can deny that.
