I'm so stupid!

Pointless post but my own stupidity really does astound me sometimes!
I recieved a booster reminder card from vet in the post this am. Thought I would book straight away while I remembered. Rang up and had a rather confusing phone call with the receptionist because I said 3 dogs were due and she said only two were. The convo went something like this;
Me- I need to book tilly, Ellie and Flora
Her- No just Tilly and Flora
Me- Are you sure? I'm sure Ellie has always gone in with Tilly
Her- No she was done in August
Me- Oh, I don't remember that, I will check vax cards and ring back.......
So I check cards and ring back
Me- It's P again, nope shes definately due now
Her- Yea I know, sorry, it was a litter of her pups done in august, just figured it out now
Me- Ohhhhh yeeaaaa, forgot that.
Duhhhhh, so then book appt for the three, make a cuppa thinking how confuddling that all was and then realise I have no idea when I just booked the appt for...none at all other than it was a thursday!
So I ring back
Me- Sorry P again! I'm a bit thick this morning and have no idea of when we booked for
Her- *laughing more than was neccessary*

next thursday 10am
Me- Ok thanks, think I will write that straight down!
Just relayed this to the OH and he has just told me that I'm stupid and will have to change the appt because next thursday is 3 days before crufts and Flora may get a reaction at the injection site! Great, so now I have to ring again tomorrow

What a bloody faff for a few injections, I hope someone different is on reception tomorrow, the woman must think I'm the daftest wombat going

I think the worst bit is I hadn't just momentarily forgotten that its crufts next weekend, I was genuinely shocked when the OH said and I'm the one that shows the dog!
My brain cell must have gone on holiday or something, I hope it comes back soon, I kind of miss it now I've noticed it's gone!

If it's any consolation, I asked a senior manager if they wanted tea or coffee today, turned round to leave the office and completely forgot what they wanted, so had to ask them again!

About being a wombat, hopefully you'll give her a good laugh and since laughing is good for our health, you will actually be doing her a favour!

Sounds just like me, although have to admit I'm reasonably good at remembering things to do with the animals, but when its the children and I, no chance! As for keys in the fridge, it took me bloomin ages once to find the loo rolls I had put in the deep freeze
