cheers for that - never thought of marking the electric gear.
all horses are freezemarked bar Willow the foal who i cant get done yet becuase of her age - she is microchipped though.
the field is chained/padlocked at top and bottom of the field but will have to check re the hinges thing

oh yes they do!!! they have to be checked regulary fed properly, if milkers kept an eye on for mastitis, they have to be de loused, deflyed and dewormed, just beacause it's only a cow doesn't mean they can be dumped in a field and left there, and even more red tape with cattle than horses, it's a nightmare if you want to move the things on or off the farm!
Be careful putting anything up about a dangerous horse. If something happens, you can get into trouble, for not having adequate protection for the flippin muppet.
ive thought about that. Its a good job that Ebi is a quiet mum. Shes quite happy for Willow to be elsewhere as long as shes in sight (thats obviously with people she knows) I wouldnt like to think what she could do if a stranger went to harm her foal. She wick and bloody minded if she wants to be
If there is a building over looking it you can buy dummy cctv cameras for around £20-£30. A few signs that have been used at our yard are
Beware bull in field
Danger High Voltage Electric Fence
Warning this horse kicks
Guard dog
Private property
CCTV in operation
I can run just as fast as you dont even bother ! (that was an old livery bit strange!)
They may be small but they are vicious
Deep mud
theres no building that close unfortunately.
like the ideas. tried the "private property" and "no access" but these havent worked.
Have got the electric fence signs on the fencing but obviously they arent working either.
Guard dog - wonder if Chantin could be classed as that???
