I posted on here a few days ago about leading problems, pony went out for the first time in 5 weeks and i managed to lead him most of the way
I had treats in my pockets and kept giving them to him and if he sped up i gave a little tug on his rope. Unfortunatley once he realised where he was going he did a little rear and ran off
right past the two other horses going out. We did say he should have gone first but they said no but they have changed their minds. Luckily the field he was goin in had 2 gates so my mum and i separated him off and the second gate wasnt closed preperly so ran into field with leadrope and headcollar still on, when he realised this he came back where i bought him out and took him back in sensiblyand he was as good as gold
He was prancing round the field like some dressage pony
but has paired up with the other new horse (they are together in a different field from the others) and they were even grooming each other after 20mins!
