I was a bit mean and left my boys out overnight last night. We often start to leave them out the odd night if its not to cold or wet/windy from march, but this was the first night this year they've been out.
They weren't really bothered that i didn't get them in and fed them in the field, so i left them to eat and took the dog round the fields.
As i came back to the field shelter (read ancient corrugated iron barn with a side missing) to collect the buckets and pick out feet i saw Ron pick up the tub-trug his feed was in and fling it at Tom, who was still eating. He proper used all his strength to throw it! so funny i nearly peed myself laughing at him.
the best bit though was the look on Tom's face, which just said - "do you mind i'm still eating!"
anyway, i picked out ron's feet and just as i was doing the last one i get a bucket up the backside
, thrown or rather shoved by Ron. obviously saying, "look whilst you're here, rather than faffing with my clearly clean feet, just go fill this up again will you."
Tom, for once, was minding his own business, and eating about as slowly as a horse can possible eat!
