iv had my 16.3 12yo warmblood for 4 yrs now,2 years ago he was lame when ridden, got xrays etc done nothing to be found vet said give him time off. he came back sound? last year he started coughing he had upper respiraty prob this we think was due to allergys so couldnt ride much. round sept last year everything fine, now this last week coughing again and lameness in near fore??
am at a loss as to why i think rite lets get going i ride him for a few weeks then he either lame or coughing?

Any help? Also not insured as after his xrays nerve blocks etc etc insurance went up by nearly 4 hundred pounds and just couldnt afford it!

I had similar with my mare . Did they xray both feet ? Might be worth considering , as your horse maybe over compensating for an injury in the other foot. This happened to my mare and ended in surgery.

What a shame you couldn't absob the £400 for the initial investigations.

I'd say you need a proper lameness workup done - but obviously that's going to cost you more than £400.
