More blood tests for my horse (he is 20) today showed IMHA and autoagglutination..
I am very worried for him :( He has been losing weight since April but at the beginning I only thought it was due to being on a track system)
The vet wants to start him on immunosuppressive (corticosteroid) therapy.
Does anyone know about it?
I will call the vet tomorrow but I have only just received his results via email...
Any advice on what to do etc welcome please..
Thanks!

If your horse is on a track system to control laminitic tendencies, then your vet should warn you that the use of steroids may bring on laminitis. Sorry to worry you even more. I have no experience of the disease, but I hope the treatment works for him and you have him for a long time yet.
