Hi, can't find it now but think it was posted yesterday. Post may since have been deleted but there was a questionable photo on a lacs website and I wondered if, as sugggested, the hunt named as being responsible had responded to the claim or left feedback. Interested to know the outcome, thanks!

Apparently it was debunked a while ago in the Hunting forum ^^^

Having had a dog who had to be thrown over the same type of fence and managed it quite easily, and looking at the spread of blood on the *wrong* side of the fence, I think it sounds like a load of bunkum!

What, you mean the one where the website spelt the hunt in question’s name incorrectly?

I’ve hunted with them on joint meets and my YO is the master of a neighbouring hunt, so he’d know if there was any truth in the matter. Which there isn’t. I can ask him to confirm when I next see him, though, if you’d like

I just googled it and the photo has been taken off the LACS website...

Anyone would think it was a made-up story or something ('surely not!' I hear you cry)

It's on a website called A Minority Pastime. I enjoyed the line about 'snarling hounds' scaring someone....

The only hounds I have ever met have been soft as grease, including the one I had to remove a manky old rabbit from yesterday. It was happily wagging it's tail, less possesive than most house dogs I know!

But it isn't impaled, you can see that quite clearly from the picture, and there is no blood on any of the spikes, and as CC says, all the blood is on the wrong side of the fence.... and the blood on the hound is on its hind legs only, but the dogs entire body is on one side of the fence, so how does that work?

Gee, I wonder if they might have made it up????

Also (I was considering this this morning while walking Henry

), if the poor thing was impaled, how come there is only blood on the lower bit of the fence, and none at all at the top where the alleged impaling would have actually occurred? Answer me THAT you anti-type fakerers of pictures! Hmmm? Hmmmmm?

Looks to me like someone has planted the poor thing there as you said, then chucked a bucket of red paint on it, I bet if you lifted it off, the poor thing would have a stripey pattern from the fence

And these people call themselves animal lovers...
