Has anyone heard of, or taken part in this important equine consultation?
Ive just picked this up and wondered how many people have heard about or taken part in this important consultation regarding equine sector job descriptions and the associated knowledge/skill requirements.
It has been running since 25th March 2008 and concludes on 14th August 2008
On their website www.ruralslp.co.uk/jobconsulter/Default.aspx?uid=305 Lantra say:
Lantra is inviting everyone working in the environmental and land-based sector to use Job Consulter to feedback on draft job profiles.
The draft job profiles have been developed with support from our industry contacts. We now need individuals who work in the sector across the UK to let us know if we have got them right.
The equine sector outlines the following job profiles:
Equine - Breeding (Stud-hand, Stud Yard Supervisor, Stallion Handler, Foaling Specialist, Stud Groom, Stud Manager, Yearling Manager)
Equine - Business Yard Manager
Equine - Coach Instructor (PTT Instructor, BHSII Intermediate Instructor, BHSI Horse Riding Instructor, BHSAI Assistant Instructor, Coach Level 1, Coach Level 2, Coach Level 3)
Equine - Horse Care (Assistant Yard Manager, Yard Manager, Supervised/Assistant Groom, Groom, Horse Transporter or Driver, Performance Groom)
Equine - Horse Racing (Head Girl/lad, Apprentice Jockey, Jockey, Stable Lad/Lass
Equine - Trekking (Trek Assistant, Trek Leader/Centre Operator)

The information gathered from this consultation will feed in to the development of training, qualifications and careers information so that they meet your needs and the needs of the industry.
