I think they are quite funny. I really don't know why people get so upset at some of them. Saying that though, there is one that sticks in my mind that was really awful and not at all funny.
 
IMO just a pain and not funny.

I like a good debate as much [if not more] than anyone, but a post filled with pointless rubbish like "im teh best rider in the world!!!1111 u all SUK!!!" is a waste of space. Why even bother telling them they're an idiot, or a liar - they already know.
 
I do find them quite funny most of the time, and they make quite good reading- but sometimes they get personal and IMO thats not on.

I find some quite amusing, and its usually harmless. Its generally clear from the title/username that its a troll post, so if it bothers you - don't open it!
 
I find it mildly amusing. last night's 'troll' was a joke, it was meant to give us a giggle, not to wind people up. But then there were those who couldnt see the funny side of it (the words 'head', 'back side' and 'out of' spring to mind).
Some people just got so **** about it. Funnily enough a few of those who don't exactly stick to the T&C's themselves (and then the words 'pot' and 'kettle' spring to mind).
 
What is humour to you, is tedious and immature to other people. Why should you imply that people who don't find things like that funny have their heads up their backsides?

Its clear Admin didn't find it funny either, would you say the same about them?

and what is tedious and immature to you is amusing to others. Of course admin will delete it, no-one suggested they shouldnt.
i actually implied that some people who don't find it funny have their head stuck up their backsides, not all.

I'm not on it, just don't think its fair to insult people who don't share the same sense of humour.

If I had said "people who like that kind of garbage are clearly idiots with the IQ of a 6 year old" I imagine the ones that thought it was funny would find that rude as well.
 
I think they are very funny but am reluctant to post as quite often people take it upon themselves to decide who can and cannot post on them! On the odd occasion that I did post people bit my head off with comments such as "don't jump on the band wagon" and demands to ignore the post, which TBH pees me off as it is a public forum and there is to a degree freedom of speach!

Most of them seem like pure drivel to me. Once in a while there are some neat debates arise from them so I generally have a quick skiff through them, but half the time they really do appear to be written by illiterate imbeciles

The one last night was drivel aswell, but it wasn't harming anyone and lots of people apparently found it humourous, so no worries.
 
Depends,
some of them are mildly amusing but often the problem arises when people don't know when to stop and so the whole thing goes beyond a joke and just gets very tedious.

I agree with SD10, you are being sanctimonious over this, as you have been on other matters. Other people will not always have the same opinions as you. Doesn't mean you're wrong - but doesn't mean that they are either. Some things don't have a right or a wrong, they just generate different opinions.

I don't recall saying anyone else was "wrong" - I'm not the person who made the comment that people who didn't find it funny had their heads stuck up their backsides.

Theres nothing wrong with having strong opinions, you just need to realise that other people are entitled to have opposing opinions.

Having said that you are the ONLY user ever to make me consider using the ignore button. I suggest you do the same for me & we'll leave it there.

I don't think Spiral was saying that anyone could not have a differing opinions - I took it that she was just commenting on the fact that someone made derogatory remarks about people who shared her opinion (that most of the troll posts were not funny)......that'd be me too.

I made the comment about backsides, it was a lightheatred comment. Somthing I'm starting to doubt you understand the concept of. You are the only person who has got in a tizz about this.
if I don't like a thread, then I ignore it, no no, not you, you spend ages reading and re-reading, picking out points people have said and comenting on them, then saying you hate the thread. Why? Why wind yourself up over something so trivial?

No-one has patronised you, no one has insulted you. Actually, this isnt about you. There happen to be hundreds of other people on here.
I think it just seems what's okay for one isnt okay for another.

zebedee - if you don't like me and want to ignore me, fine. I don't see how that has anything to do with me, why tell me?
I won't be pressing ignore user on you as I have no problem with you.
