Importing horses post brexit

Anyone imported horses from the continent post brexit. Ive been trying to find the legislation re this and failing dismally… can anyone point me in the direction of the rules?

I have just imported one and the paperwork post-brexit is a nightmare. I used John Lovett who did the transport and he got Parker’s to do the paperwork for him. Costs are vat + duty, cost of having paperwork completed, cost of transport. Don’t be put off though as it can be done. Oh and I forgot, cost of having passport over stamped by breed society or relevant passport issuer.

Easier to import than export (expensive both ways). Best advice - find a vet and transporter who can do the paperwork for you.
