Hi guys,
Im looking for some tips for cleaning greys without having to wash. My 5yo CP absolutly hates being washed and can get quite dangerous kicking and biting. I always use warm water and a sponge instead of hosing him but its still no good. Really doesnt help thats he is practically white and loves to lie in poo! Even with a rug hr manages to get filthy. Any innovative tips out there?

We use cowboy magic green spot remover on ours inbetween baths (fortunately he doesn't mind them) Spray it on, rub it in, leave for a few minutes then sponge off. Chalk, either paste or a block is great for lightening dirty bits. Have you tried hot towelling him? Very good for removing dust and light dirt. Also we've found that if we keep on top of it its a lot easier. x

Agree with cowboy magic, better than anything else I've tried. Also, use turnout rugs as opposed to stable rugs. They keep out poo and wet stains better and these days they are all breathable.
Lastly, once you have a clean horse then use showsheen (or equivalent). It seems to keep the stains off - not on saddle areas obviously :)

Thanks so much. I have tried hot towelling him in the past which is great but still doesn't get the bad stains off. Will try the stone as well, never thought of that one. I have a showsheen stain remover that he absolutly hates as well, he's so sensitive any spray on his skin and get gets upset -its not the noise as hes not spooky just when it touches his skin- so i try put it on with a sponge instead but find you dont get the same result. If i can manage to get the yellow stains out for shows il be happy! Thanks again and if any of you think of any more miracle cleaners let me know! :-)
