14.2 pony. Arrived on yard on a Thursday, sound after clean 5 stage vetting.
Following Tuesday was shod (extremely overdue!) and in a lesson that afternoon took a few unlevel steps at the start, blink and you miss it/did it happen type thing. Overall great lesson.
Wednesday gentle hack.
Thursday day off.
Friday went to evening SJ where she stopped quite violently then trotted up lame outside.
This was a week last Friday. She has been progressively more lame ever since on one front. Hoof progressively hotter with a strong pulse.
X rays taken but completely clean.
Shoe taken off 48 hours ago and poulticed. Poultice is completely clean but the pony has gone from 6/10 lame to 2/10 today.

Any thoughts?

They usually show on xray though
not always

presuming the vet hasn;'t given you any other advice if she was mine I would boot and let her move. (yard or enclosed area where nothing can make her charge around) and sit and wait. You have nail bind, shoeing a very long foot may have brought the sole nearer to the ground to bruise, or the good old abscess. Hot tub and poultice may make you feel happier.

I think you are going to have to play a waiting game. I had similar and it took a good 2 months, only found out with the abscess line around the hoof idc.

My horses didnt show anything on x-rays when we had this weird stint of abcess's this winter. We specifically x-rayed to see if any air pockets or tracks and saw absolutely nothing.

We had the same issue with a horse at our yard, boxing day he was hopping lame, hoof really warm. Poulticed under vet advice, and didn't really get have any gunk coming out, but the soundess was improving. she continued and within a week he was back sound.
