Impressive new injury

I know you all love some gory photos.
My mum just sent me a photo of her companion pony - She has no idea how he has done this! She was on the yard with him, he was in the stable, she said there was blood for about a minute then it went so he must have just done it.
I'm hazarding a guess a baby tooth has come out to make way for an adult tooth but open to ideas! Obviously it's a bank holiday he's done it on too ?

Yes looks like a cap come off to me if a young horse. Can be a little bit of blood if so.

He's only 2 or 3, so the right age I'd imagine? (I'm not overly familiar with baby teeth) I'm far too squeamish for things like that ? ?

Ah , new tooth I hope you find the baby tooth that came out so you can leave it for the tooth fairy, who might leave him a carrot.
