My mare has had imprints on for almost 4 weeks but the wear has been quite considerable and was noticed within only a week of fitting, she hasn't been in work due to lameness so I'm wondering whether she is just too heavy for them(she's a 16.2 ISH), they are also very slippery for her.
Wondering whether to suggest http://plastichorseshoes.co.uk/ Equi-Eaze shoes to farrier and see what he thinks of them, they can be nailed not glued & claim to be suitable for any kind of work or just go ahead and have heart bar shoes fitted ?
Any experience of either would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Have you got the imprint sport shoes on or the theraputic ones?? My horse currently has the sports on and we are getting on really well with them, it did take a few weeks for them to stay on, was almost like my horse needed to adapt to them, this pair has stayed on 6 weeks, in tje beginning I never thought that would happen! No experience of the other shoes, sorry!

Thanks for your reply, she has the therapeutic ones on.
Forgot to mention the massive difference in cost, £160 for 2 front imprint shoes whereas Equi-eaze are £20 a pair plus fitting.
Glad you're getting on well with yours!

What is the lameness?
There are many types of plastic shoe farriers use. As the imprint are one of the most expensive on the market then there may well be a good reason for your farrier/vet to have used those specifically.

The imprint are expensive but good, depending on your horse'a problem it may be worth trying the imprint sport, mine does not slip in his and he is doing a fair amount of work now and makes some shapes in the field :)
