What do you think? All opinions welcome :)

He looks as if he is pretty fit.

He is getting fitter, took him to good hill gallops today and he only felt slightly tired/started to sweat after 2 trots up, 4 steady canters and 2 slighly faster trips! He would have liked to go a lot faster  :)

Anyone think he has improved weight wise/topline?

Between the 1st and 3rd picture, he looks leaner in the latter one.
Having said that, it doesn't appear to be a massive difference.

His topline looks much better. More weight covering ribs. But hindquarters still look a bit pointy. Looks healthier/fitter.

You think he looks thinner in the 3rd? Hes now on boiled oats as well as other conditioning feeds.

Im not sure he will ever get a really rounded hind end, even 3 months at grass he wasnt overly round. I think his coat looks healthier?
He has developed more muscle but not a huge amount of weight considering the amount he gets :) still not there but at least he dosent look as poor now?

I think he's carrying more muscle now but weight wise looks pretty much the same. What feed does he have and what's his exercise routine out of interest?

Ps he is lovely, love his markings :)

He's on calm & condition, equi jewel, 12% mix, karron oil, probiotic and has just started boiled oats as well. He gets all the hay he can eat!

Hes ridden 5-7 times a week, varying routine of jumping, dressage, hacking, canters or up the gallops and now hopefully eventing at weekends. Does a mixture of these:)
Thank you :)

I think he'll really blossom in the spring with that work :) good old dr green will give him that sparkle. My ex racers got too much of a belly and not enough top line, can we swap a bit of weight for a bit of his muscle please? :p

He certainly looks a litle deeper in his girth in pics 2 and 3

I think a lot of people (myself included!) havent realy realised the effect of the bad weather since last year has had on grass and forage in terms of goodness there is in it.

A few weeks ago Autumn certainly has looked the worst she has ever done but its been such a gradual thing since last year you dont even realise. Its left us with all sorts of trouble and has ended up with her saddle slipping etc. She has been tense because of this and wasted a bit of muscle behind her withers as well as topline over her neck.

We have now changed to a different haylage supply and she is starting to look like her old self and is beginning to change back to my more realxed, happier horse. Just feel a bit rubbish it took us so long to realise what the problem was!

I think a lot of people have been in the same boat too x

He looks like a very fit horse and right for the job he is doing.

He isn't as fit as I would like him but we are getting there :) I want him as fit as possible!

Thats true, glad you found out what was the issue was! We make our own hay, and this year we can't feed it to the horses that are competing as its just not good enough, have had to buy in!

Took another pic today but of the other side and might be easier to see when everything is out of the way!

Its easier to see in that last pic you posted O-M, but his ribs are better covered, and his bottom a little rounder (not on top I agree -thats his conformation) but at the sides....

Is he 6 now??? Very smart chap :D

Hes actually rising 7! He did camphire 6 year old class last season :) hopefully with the work he will put weight on in right places :)

He looks better, yes. I'd say his covering is good, but could do with a lot more muscle in specific places. This really boils down to doing the correct work, backed up with the right amount of feeding. Looks like you've got the feeding right, just have to put in the gymnastic work now (I don't mean in a jumping context, BTW).
