Thinking about getting spurs for schooling during the winter, my girl is super forward goin gon a hack but take her in the school and she drags her feet like a 3 year old in a strop.

I used to ride my fat WB in swan neck spurs but she won't need anything as obvious, she respects a pony club style kick but it's not ideal for schooling!

So it's disc spurs or try these impulse spurs, what are peoples thoughts on them?

I ride in impulse spurs and I love them. I use them because my horse can be quite naughty and when he is he tends to ignore my leg - I feel quite happy giving him a few jabs knowing that I am not going to mark him or hurt him, but he will feel it and (usually!) respond

Yes, I like mine. My (advanced event) horse isnt that keen on spurs but needs them & I have to wear spurs at the bigger events. I find these do the job, he swishes his tail marginally less & I never mark him.

I love my impulse spurs. One good thing about them is my horses still know the difference when they have normal spurs on at a show. My horse bucks with normal spurs, and seems to like the impulse ones much better, although still only needs a light touch with them.

I would recommend them, my horse has gone slightly dead to the schooling whip and at times does need reminding that I want him to work and yes these did the trick
