In A&E. Oops and Ouch!

Ta all :)

I bath trying to ease off silly back muscles that got twanged in the process (only me!).

Docs not yet decided if op.

Going in this morning for consultant to prod :). Still starving just in case!

Will report back :)

Good luck - fingers crossed for a quick recovery and that you don't need to be on bute and box rest for too long after.

ETA My OH badly damaged his finger a fortnight ago and they had to do micro surgery to put it back together. But they didn't even mentioned the PTS words, they just nerve blocked it. He said it was a weird feeling but worked a treat. Then he started explaining nerve blocking to me and I had to say "um, yes, they do it with horses too"...

Let us know how you get on - is it a bit op or dont you want to talk about it right now - fully understand if that is the case.

Hope it all goes well, and your left handed

Oh dear - hope all goes well and that you take full advantage of your box rest. Good news is that you can most probably be turned out again by Christmas.

You need regular haynets filled with chocolate and your water bucket permanently topped up with vast quantities of whatever tipple you fancy.

Take care x

No idea size of op. too hungry n lightheaded

Consultant said "Have to put you down". I did a slightly panice stricken look, there may have been a slight Eep! as well. He apologised and said he must remember to watch his words around horsey peeps :D. He meant put me down on the list ;)

EEK that sounds like you had a nasty fall... at least you can stand back and admire someone else doing your mucking out for you in the damp & cold :D

Hope it heals quickly for you... it was around this time about 8yrs ago when I shattered my hand in a freak riding accident, horse popped a small rear and my hand glanced off her shoulder, resulting in 3 breaks... I was back riding (with cast on) a week later :D I just couldn't hold the fork to muck out hee hee

Oh dear, Mrs M - that's not good. Just take full advantage of the lay off in whatever way you can. Sending you loads of "heal quickly" vibes and loads of hot chocolate with extra sprinkles.

Oh eck. I did the Collis fracture about time last year (week after next is the 'anniversary').

I do feel your pain. Mine was cleanly broken across and they manipulated it with just gas and air. I actually did pass out with the pain, but thankfully did not need the op. Hope yours goes well and that you heal soon.

Mine didn't involve a horse, either. It was sodding ice skating. What a stupid bloody concept!!!
