In A&E. Oops and Ouch!

Oh dear! Do take care and don't feel stupid.

I have had many horse related injuries,(at least I was having fun) however the most embarassing was not horse related but breaking my ankle while taking out the garbage. No explanation could suffice to keep me from looking a complete ass.

Best wishes from the U.S.!

Hope you feel better soon! I fractured my foot last week but its actually kind of okay and I can hobble round on it! Glad I did nothing that required surgery! I had my appendix removed almost two years ago now and although I dont mind hospitals, they are boring and was glad to go home! :D

Ta folks :D

I should be home sometime today :D

No Bute since midnight, so am chuffed by low level of pain :D

Using hand reasonably well. Thumb doesn't quite work properly yet, just needs more wiggling :D Any one have any good schooling tips for flexion and range of movement?

Hoping for paddock rest, though my box is quite nice .

I'm seriously considering sending the mats away to a professional :(. I'm not seeing it as a failure on my part, rather an enhanced continuation of their training and continued education :D. I wonder if JanetGeorge has a space in her stables

They've been checked over by the professionals and they are as sound as one can expect of seven year old mats. They were sold to me as suitable for my level of numptyness at that time :p and on the whole been good on the ground, only proving a bit difficult to handle when moving stables, and then it's nothing nasty, more stubbornness :D

I could always try a carrot stick on them, but not sure that's the right approach...

I'm open to suggestions :D

O MrsM. You poor, poor thing. What are we going to do with you? You're as bad as Nitty for inflicting infeasibly major injuries on yourself from benign looking objects.

Your last post did make me chuckle though. Glad to see you're in good spirits :D

You are an accident prone mare aren't you?! ;) glad to hear you're on the mend, been chuckling away at your posts about the wayward mats...I would suggest its an emotional thing, they're probably feeling *snigger* a little downtrodden - maybe you haven't been spending enough quality time grooming them? :D

Gentle pats to you.
Hope you have a quick recovery, if nothing else when you are better you can get cracking with 're-training' your naughty mats!
xx
